I know of no problem with WHITE paper, but I do know that colored paper
(such as front page of paper and/or comics) is toxic to puppies.  This
is important to know for putting down papers in the 'puppy' area.  They
are notorious for loving to chew up paper.  So keep the colored paper
out of reach (if that's even possible in the ferret kingdom).
