The ear mite shots (Ivomec) work really well. When we have had
infestations of ear mites in the shelter, we got a bottle of the oral
Ivomec from our vet. One drop on the gums and another dose in two weeks
or so and they are gone! One more thing - make sure to change their
bedding before you put them back in their cage after medicating. Ear
mites can live outside the ears (at least for a short period of time) and
you don't want to reinfect your ferret.
