Just a reminder.  Heart of Ohio Ferret Association and Rescue (HOFA)
is presenting the 2003 Ferret Buckeye Bash ferret show to be held this
weekend August 23 at Veteran's Memorial Hall, 300 W.Broad St in Columbus
Ohio.  This is one of the largest ferret shows held in the US.  There
are over 230 ferrets now entered.  Entries as far away as Washington and
Florida have been received.  The top breeders in the US will be attending
presenting their best breeder ferrets and adolescents kits.  There are
classes for altered and companion ferrets also.  Thats right, a Marshall
Farms or Path Valley ferret will win "best of show" in their class.
Seventeen specialty class will be presented as well as invitational and
breeders classic.  There are over 25 vendors attending with many items
for sale not found in pet stores at very reasonable prices.  This is a
great time to stock on those ferret supplies.  Many raffles will be held
through the day.  Remember these raffles support many shelters and don't
forget our ADV shelters.  If you are looking for that new kit there will
be over 30 ferrets for sale from several breeders.
 
Please note that all ferrets entering the show hall must have proof of
ADV negative results from Avecon or Untied labs and have proof of a
current distemper and rabies vaccination.
