Follow the ferret.

Site updated with a new page featuring - The Hamster.

Some photos and some bio on the site.

Here's something to ponder for yourselves . . . nothing serious, just
some thoughts and observations re furrat fotos.

One of the things we did that was smarter than usual was to invest in a
medium grade digital camera. I got so tired of trying to pose these guys
and then hopefully snap a classic, send it off to be processed into double
copies plus a digital diskette and then find that the result was still
yet more blurred ferret footage. Waste of time and money all round and
aggravating.

Now we can do a shoot and download to the PC real quick to see what was
wasted and what was not. I figure with over 1400 snaps taken (not ALL of
ferrets) that this thing has more than paid for itself in film costs +
processing costs + mailing costs + aggravation due to lost opportunities.

Just something to think about if the budget can spring for it and someone
is wanting a last-minute Christmas pressy that is sure to please and be
useful.

I always used to say "film is cheap" compared to the lost opportunity.
However, processing is not so cheap in the long run. Shooting 36 to get
6 good ones is not cost effective. Now it's a case of erasing the memory
card and starting over while keeping the 6 on the PC or turning them into
diskettes/CDs.

Best wishes to all for whatever holiday you may be celebrating!
