Hello FerretWare friends!
 
Once again we are asking for your support to help a ferret shelter that
has partnered with us to help rescue dozens of California ferrets.  The
last raffle we wrote about was for Support Our Shelters (SOS), and half
the proceeds benefited the 24 Karat Ferret Rescue & Shelter in Las Vegas.
SOS raised hundreds of dollars to help ferrets everywhere, and we thank
you very much for your support.  FerretWare friends donated a good part
of the funds, and because I have no way of knowing who donated, I would
like to issue a big thank you to everyone who responded to my plea to
buy raffle tickets.
 
Now I am asking you to support this raffle (actually 2 raffles),
benefiting the Biggest Little Ferret Shelter as well as the Northern
Nevada Ferret Network, both serving N.  California and Nevada.  A handful
of volunteers host regular events to adopt ferrets as well as provide
information about being owned by ferrets.  The pet stores in Reno
regularly host adoption and education days, and the folks in Reno have
spent many a weekend day staffing tables and distributing information.
After all, a well-educated ferret owner is more likely to keep their
ferret as long as it lives, reducing the need for sheltering hospice
ferrets and improving the life of ferrets everywhere.  Please, can you
spare $5?  Perhaps skip the Happy Meals and donate $10?  Every dollar

The first raffle includes items donated by FerretWare.  I originally
donated the ferret ring in silver, however someone posted the picture
from my website of the 10k gold ring.  So, to avoid confusion, the BLFS
and NNFN folks asked if they could raffle the gold ring, and how could I
refuse?  This is a very worthy cause, and they need and deserve our
support.  So now I'm asking you to help.  The gold ring retails for $195.
This is your chance to own this solid gold ring for the price of raffle
ticket.  The odds are better here than at the casinos!  Please buy as
many raffle tickets as you can afford!  Time is running out, you have
less than 2 weeks to buy your tickets.  You can pay via Paypal or send a
check, details are on the raffle page.  FerretWare is not handling the
ticket sales.  Also, be aware that the raffle page contains music, just
in case you're at work!
