30 second bout of silliness coming  ;-)
 
Obviously they are grossed about about sharing a water bottle, and they
are wiping off old ferret slobber from the water bottle.  Think back to
when you were a kid during recess at the water fountain.
 
Or, their mommies told them to wash up before dinner when they were kits,
and so they are just washing their paws off.  Good habits die hard.
