Came home, the house reeked of what smelled like rotting garbage....with
13 ferts, looked high n low for missed poo, and tracked the odor down to
Zorro's breath! He had been much less active last few days, and at 2330,
was listless, dehydrated, with the worst breath I've ever smelled.
Hydrated through the night p.o. with H2O and pedialyte...had him at our
Vet's by 0800 when their doors opened. Our Vet still has no idea, states
that the X-rays came back neg., is going to keep him overNOC with subQ
fluids and IM antibiotics. He's at a loss. I was certain it was a
blockage... Need some input please. Zorro is a 1-2 year old we've taken
in with 7 others. None of the other 7, or our 5, have exhibited any of
this symptomology( Yes, I checked EVERYONE'S breath).

The only time I've smelled something like this was when a patient has a
blockage, and would vomit up stool...Zorro is not vomiting, keeping down
fluids, but no solids, scant dark semi-tarry stools. Any idea's I can
give to our Vet would be most warmly welcomed!
