I think I need a specialist! My Toby has a serious dental problem. It has
changed the way we do things around the house and been the cause of much
stress. I am at my wit's end... Toby has the most ENORMOUS... ...sweet
tooth!!! Oh sure, this sounds funny and maybe it was... at first. But,
Toby now will HUNT the coat pockets of every visiter in search of a mint or
candy. His addiction has gotten worse and worse. At first it was just ice
cream that he loved. Before he had ever tasted it, he would FIGHT me for
it. I can't open my own freezer without Toby running to the kitchen - just
to be sure I'm not getting the ice cream out. I have to sneak around to eat
a piece of candy.

Last night, I realized that this is out of my hands. I heard a strange
noise from under the bed. This is Toby's favorite stash place so I braced
myself and looked. Toby had a bag of mashmallows!!! He had gotten into the
"ferret-proofed" cabinets, stolen the marshmallows without disturbing
anything else, and hidden them under the bed without me knowing it! Toby is
an only-ferret so I suspect that outside influences must be at work here.
Whoever is sending the FLO training information, PLEASE stop! Neutral Human
is ill equiped to deal with your devious ways. (By the way, I confiscated
ALL marshmallows and placed them above the refridgerator. Toby has not had
any obvious ill effects from his sugar raid - no extra hyper behavior or
runny poops.)

Kim and Toby (Hey Mom, how come you get to keep all the good stuff?)
