If your vet does not feel like they can do the surgery then ask for a
referral to a vet school or a surgical center that can do the surgery.
(There are some orthopedic and neuro surgeries that are beyond my ability.)
Be glad that your vet was upfront with you and go to a board certified
surgeon that can do this delicate surgery.
