Just to clarify: the two ferrets on the Judge Mills Lane show were not the
actual ferrets in question in the case. The lighter one (silver mitt) in
Jean's arms was my Paddington Bear ferret. The darker one being fed
Nutristat by Anne Ryan was Theo, owned by Kit and Alex.

I think Jean did a great job, and was disappointed the judge didn't rule in
her favour. Also, here's one thing that has really confused me from the
start, based on my understanding of the case:

The Amos family is the one that brought the suit to get Kayla (the healthy
ferret; they didn't want their sick ferret back!) returned to them. Yet
they are also the ones who decided to get the case put into the Judge Mills
Lane show.

Now, the Judge Mills Lane show is taped in NY, with an NY judge .. and the
original case occurred in OH. As the judge said during the case, he has no
jurisdiction to return the animals, regardless of what he rules, because it
occurred in a different state. So why did the Amos family decide to get
the case put on the show, assuming that they probably knew that, or at
least should have known that? Or am I misinterpreting something?

Sign me puzzled,

Ela
