Maybe the rabies is the only thing needed for a Health Certificate, but
distemper is something that can cause a ferret to die a horrible, painful
and completely preventable death.  Also, distemper is highly contagious.
Keeping a record of regular distemper shots shows that your animals
haven't/won't spread the disease, and won't die from it, either (in most
cases).
