My beloved Scooter (the Dook of Earl is gone).

His story is long, but I shall be brief. He was a rescue, the most
gentle spirit I've ever encountered. He wanted to be where I was...
didn't want to be held, just to be where I was. He was borderline
hypoglycemic his whole life, and finally the Insulinoma took his vision,
his strength, and his ability to continue.

I too, like CJ struggled with helping him over the bridge. I determined
that as long as he wasn't in pain, I'd let him stay as long as he could.
When he began bumping into walls, because what vision he did have was
almost gone, and when he could no longer stand due to loss of muscle tone
in his hind legs, I finally realized that there are different kinds of
pain. He had to be miserable. I realized I was keeping him for me, and
not for himself. That was when I decided that his time to go and look
for Major Burns (ferret face) had come.

Sandee, please welcome Scooter to the group. Don't worry when he walks
a few steps and lays down. That's just his nature. Please tell him his
Daddy misses him, and loves him very much, and wants him to be whole
again.

My beloved Scooter, I love you and hope you sleep well my buddy.
