I had a ferret whose spleen enlarged to 10 times normal. He was
diagnosed by palpation from a vet as having Lymphoma and possible
insulinoma. I have been giving him prednisone and shifted his diet to
a more carnivourous one. Hos previous food had a lot of additives that
weren't meat. I have also increased his vitamin intake with L&M vitamins
and extra C & E along with giving him hairball remedy and honey in a
liquiefied form of food with echineachea added. His spleen is a lot
smaller and is almost normal after just a short time. His personality
has gotten back to normal. Before he was lethargic and wouldn't
walk, eat, have bowel movements or do anything but kiss. Patches now seems
to be almost well. There is only a slight swelling left otherwise he is
normal. FYI for all who like that sort of thing his picture is being
published in a coffee table book because he got me in the semi finals of
an international photo contest for animals.

Back to the subject..........has anyone ever treated the ferret for an
infection and seen such dramatic results in a majorly swelled spleen?
