Here in Va we have Skinks. They are little lizard like creatures,
iridescent blue with yellow stripes down the side.

One was in my bedroom. I got RePete so he could investigate this
creature. RePete had no idea what I was doing with him and simply would
not focus on what I was trying to show him. The skink moved in a racing
blue streak and RePete missed that whole performance.

The skink went under a monitor that I had on the floor so I got to
fiddling around with the cable to get RePete curious of what I was
doing and sure enough he got right in there interested to 'help' me.

Just then the skink, in a moment of his sheer terror, ripped out from
under his hiding spot right under the nose of RePete.

Well, RePete was blind to the whole thing! I gave up.

I started out of the room to go elsewhere and the skink took another
run for his life and RePete took notice this time and also took chase!
Ha! RePete was moving like white lightning and POOF!!! The skink was
off like blue lightning. Was a rainbow of blur all at once.

The skink won. A most impressive skink! I was grateful where I do love
those little guys, they eat bugs you know. But RePete has now a new
interest in life, trying to make a big skink. With the warm weather
here now, it skinks in here which makes RePete happy now. Nothing
like a big bad skink to make a ferret happy !!!!!
