I just wanted to update the list on the adrenal scare I had with Claudia.
I took her to the vet on Saturday, and he said she just had a skin fungus
and prescribed some medicated shampoo for me to use on her. I've responded
personally to everyone who mailed me with advice and support, but I also
wanted to say a public thank you as well. It meant a lot to me that so
many people took time to mail me about there experiences and send on a few
comforting words. I was able to sleep much better the night before the vet
visit, and now that I know my darling doesn't have adrenal, I'm able to
breathe completely easy once again.

I know that sometimes tempers flare on the FML; we're all different and
have our different opinions, as the debate on Modern Ferret has
illustrated. But I sincerely believe that despite the occasional flames
and disagreements, everyone on this list truly cares about the well-being
of ferrets...-all- ferrets. That is why so many -are- willing to mail a
total stranger to offer help and advice and prayers. I hate to see people
leave the list because of angry words and flames. With each person who
drops off the list, we're losing yet another valuable resource. I'm not
saying that we have to agree with every opinion stated, nor that we have to
refrain from voicing our own opinion when we do disagree with someone. But
if we stop to think before we write that this person is a ferret lover just
like us, perhaps we could keep our disagreements civil. Now let's all go
hug our ferrets, shall we? :)
