It is time for antibiotics but if we rember correctly (from Dr Weiss)
Amoxi-drops are not all that effective with "uterine" infections.  That
might mean that other infections in that area as well.  Any vet can
prescribe a good antibiotic such as Clavamox.

Your vet is right.  This according to information from a vet with United
Vaccines.
