I agree with Kim, just wanted to add that some of us were advising "lose
the vet" in the last case mostly because there was a mention that the vet
was very unwilling to listen to the ferret owner and seemed to get moody
and unresponsive when suggestions were made (I've had vets like this
before too, and dumping them was a good move because vets have to be
willing to at least listen to a ferret owner).
 
I'm all for vets learning more about ferrets, and would have NO problem
with them learning on mine.  The only thing that would make me dump a vet
is unwillingness to learn or listen on their part.
