Hi all,

It's been a very, very long time since I've posted anything--been lurking
and "selectively" reading the FML. Anyhow, the reason I'm posting today
is that yesterday I found Betty in the midst of a siezure. I promptly got
her to the emergency room where she stayed the night--her temperature was
93 when she got there and her blood sugar was at 27!! I'm scheduling a
followup appointment with another vet to begin evaluation of surgery/drug
use within several days.

I HAVE A QUESTION REGARDING PREDNISONE: I was advised by my vet to crush
the *tiny* pieces of prednisone into a powder and stash it in some cheese
or a snack to get her to eat it, however, I've been able to give Chopper
(Betty's brother) pills in the past and want to know if the whole thing
with crushing the pills is to get it down, or does it need to be broken
down for it to absorb better?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated--this is my first sick baby and I
was hysterical last night, and then overjoyed this morning when I got a
call from the vet informing she was, indeed, alive and ready to go home.

Thanks,
Chris
