Hi everybody!

To refresh everyone's memory, I posted a couple of weeks ago about my 4.5
y/o DEW Sundance whom I adopted about a month ago with his cage-mate Butch.
Sunny (which is all I seem able to call him 'cause he's SO sweet) has had
a VERY bad odor ever since I got him. I had been bathing him every 3 days
(please no flames, I KNOW it's not good for him) because of the extreme
smell that was affecting everyone in the house. Last Friday I took him to
his vet's office to see if they could figure out what the problem was. I
was extremely afraid that it could be signs of adrenal disease because along
with the odor he was very aggressive with my other ferts and his fur, when
clean, was a beautiful silver and after 3 days became extremely yellow. He
has some patchy bald spots across his shoulders also. Well, Dr. Dyer at
Lake Mary Veterinary Hospital seems to think that Sunny has an undescended
testicle (thank you Marshall Farms) and this is causing him to be "in rut"
so to speak. Dr. Dyer conferred with Dr. Vaughn, the other ferret-wise vet
in that practice and they both have suggested surgery to find the offending
testicle and remove it. So, this Thursday at 9:00 a.m. Sunny (with mommy
along to hold his paw) will enter the operating room to try to make Sunny
what he should have been 4 1/2 years ago. Please, everyone, keep him in
your thoughts and prayers Thursday morning. I'll be a nervous wreck, I
know, but I promised Dr. Dyer that if I felt the need to faint I'd quietly
step out into the hallway and do it there. (Hehehehe) I can just see it, a
BIG puddle of Apryl all over the hallway floor.

Thanks and 'Dooks' to all.....
