The news was also in the Boston Globe this morning as well.  National Briefs
column.  Only three sentences but with the headline "Baby is bitten by pet
ferret." Said that she was bitten at least 50 times while she lay asleep
between her parents who had fallen asleep after drinking beer.  Parents were
charged with "felony child endangering".  Not a word about previous
treatment of the ferret, possibility of another animal, ferrets vs dogs, or
even a word in support from ferret owners.  Just sensationalistic stuff
which gets people to buy papers.
 
Makes one pessimistic about anything they say.
