My vet was so understanding when I had to put my little Rudy to sleep.
He was in severe pain and there was nothing else that could be done for
my poor baby. My vet gave him a shot for pain and my little guy just
lay relaxed with his head on my shoulder. He was licking my cheek as
if to say thank-you for stopping the pain. After I spent a little time
saying good-bye my vet gave him a shot to put him to sleep. He went
peacefully and then they took him back and wrapped him up for me to
take home to bury him in my special place under a big tree in our back
pasture along with the rest of my beloved animals. It's so hard to
have to take them and put them to sleep and you keep wondering did I
do enough, should I have waited. Then, I remember what a great lady
once told me that when you love something you'll know when it's time
to let it go.
