There's a new comet in the sky's over Kentucky tonight. It's bright
and flying as fast as the power of wheezes can go. This afternoon Sue
and I released out heart felt bonds to Skippy.

Skippy was a rescue from a breeder up north. He was blind in one eye,
he couldn't even support him self to relieve himself. He would brace
himself on the edge of the food bowl to eat.

The wonderful shelter mom that rescued him had doubts that he'd make it
from the breeder's sheds to her shelter. But he did, with a little help
from a sling, then lots of exercise he was able to build him self up to
at least stand as he peed. He slowly worked his stamina up to where he
could navigate his way around most of the foundation of the home.

Skippy loved to sit with me and get his scritches as we "watched"
Stargate reruns. Some Ferretone and scritches and he was set for the
evening. Kool Whip was a wonderful thing to Skippy.

Sadly he lately started to have trouble with the simple act of rolling
himself over. Other signs told us it was time for him to go. I'm sure
his new wings are just breath taking! After he passed Sue wrapped him
in a new very soft sleepy sack,

There are just no words to thank the shelter mom that let us hold and
spoil Skippy and his gal pal Noel. We are flattered she let us take
care of such wonderful little fur kids.

Enjoy your new wings Skippy, stretch them, enjoy the freedom from pain
you now have.

Fly high Skippy, we'll be content to watch for you if you pass by this
way again. Thanks for stopping by here Skippy we miss you tonight
