     Anne - to the best of my knowledge, there would be little difference
in the two formulations.  Only rarely is prednisolone used in veterinary
medicine today - the hit on it when I was in clinical practice was that it
was metabolized more quickly - while it had the same mechanism of action,
you had to dose it twice as often.
 
    I would assume that they have conquered this problem by now, and your
sister can probably attest to this.  But there is also a lot of prenisone
elixirs out on the market at 1mg/ml - I use it occasionally in my ferrets
for various ills.... You might want to try this first.  I think the 1mg/ml
prednison is made for human children....
