HICCUPS:
I find that offering the ferret a small treat, particularly a lickable one,
takes care of the hiccups. I guess the breath control required to lick all
the Ferretone or Petromalt off of a finger helps, along with the general
calming effect of a brief break from playing.

Speaking of which, Rusty had always gotten hiccups once a month or so, but
recently he's been getting them much more often, maybe every few days. Is
this symptomatic of anything in particular?

VACCINATION TIMING:
* Yes, giving the rabies and distemper vaccines a week or two apart is a
good idea; it may minimize the chance of a bad reaction.
* Yes, you can give a ferret an extra vaccination (rabies, distemper, or
both) to get him on the same schedule as your others, as long as it's been
a month since he last had the shots.
