Hi there,

I have been talking with someone in the upper Illinois area about the
requirement of permits in Illinois. Apparently a lot of people in Illinois
don't realize that permits are required for ferrets here. So let me clarify
for all: THEY ARE REQUIRED!!!! Plus, THEY ARE FREE!! (For owning ferrets
only, not breeding. Breeding is different.)

Here is the information I sent this other person. (BIG, I hope this is all
right.)

The permits are available through:

Illinois Department of Conservation
Wild Game/Game Bird Breeder Permit
524 South Second, Room 210
P.O. Box 19458
Springfield, IL 62794-9458

Phone #: 217-785-3423

I hope this clears up any miss understandings about the requirement of
permits. If you have any questions, let me know.

Dee
