Directions to the Ferret Fun Match
This year the Ferret Fun Match is at Clackamette Park in Oregon City. Take
I-205 to Exit 9 (Highway 99E, which is also called McLoughlin Blvd.).
Go north on 99E and turn left at the Clackamette Park sign (there will also
be Ferret Fun Match signs), which is just before a McDonald's on the left.
Follow the road and Ferret Fun Match signs to Clackamette Park and the fun
match!

                    Special Guest
Jeanne Carley, Legislative Director for the California Domestic Ferret
Association, and photographer for the Ferret Calendar will be on hand to sell
and autograph the 1997 Ferret Calendar, judge the Ferret Fun Match photo
contest, and give a talk on photgraphing your ferret. Jeanne will also take
pictures of Fun Match attendees and their ferrets, which she will donate to
the OFA (you can purchase copies of any photos Jeanne takes of your
ferrets at the Fun Match from the OFA).

                   Vet Tech Booth
Dr. Kimber Brawley, M.S., D.V.M. of Companion Pet Clinic will provide
consultations from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Dr. Brawley is an experienced
ferret-vet who handles many hundreds of ferret cases a year.

From 10 am to 2 pm, Dr. Kimber Brawley will be available to answer
questions on a one-on-one basis at the Vet Tech Booth.

This is a well-ferret screening. Please, NO sick ferrets allowed! The
Fun Match is only for healthy ferrets.

Only registered participants of the Fun Match may consult with the
vet. Each owner will be limited to a 5 minute consultation so that
everyone gets a chance to talk to the vet.

Kelley Clarke, a Certified Vet Tech, will be on hand for the entire day to
help us with health and grooming issues. The owner will fill out a short
form that may help Kelley spot any potential concerns that require
veterinary follow-up. Kelley (and helpers) will weigh each ferret, check
its ears for mites, and comb for fleas. Kelley can also show owners the
proper technique for clipping nails. She can also try to answer questions
but cannot offer a diagnosis on a particular problem.

                  Information Booth
The very latest information about ferrets will be available as well as
someone to answer questions. This booth will also have OFA t-shirts and
Deborah Jeans' A Practical Guide to Ferret Care for sale.
