To Pam, asking for advice about Pix digging the carpets at the closet door:
I've had good luck with clear plastic carpet runner. It comes in a roll
about two or three feet wide, from the hardware store, and has little
spikes on the underside to keep it from sliding on the carpet. I cut a section
about two feet long, and place it one foot on either side of the door.

Also, I've got a question. My ferret Ellie is seven and a half years old,
and while she's in good health, she's certainly not as energetic as she was
at age two years. I'm wondering if anyone out there has had a ferret
more than ten years old, and if so, what the health and energy level were
at that point?

Arlyn
