I was going to head up to the shelter after work tomorrow (as I'm out
of town at the moment) to see if they still had the ferrets. But this
is what I found out about New Hope:

What im assuming is that they handed the ferrets over to this program
to bring them to a legal area. I'm almost positive that any ferret that
is turned into a NYC shelter is supposed to be "disposed of"... luckily
most place send them out of the city.
