Hi all-

I've enjoyed reading the posts regarding ferret tattoos. I, too, wanted
some kind of ferret tattoo for the longest time but just couldn't figure
out a design that I liked (and didn't really know where to look). I knew
I wanted something small and simple that would show my affection for my
fuzzies and yet not draw too much attention over the years. I'm also a big
dog-lover, as well as an animal-lover in general. Besides my now-8 ferrets
(see below) I also have 2 dogs and 2 cockatiels and have fostered several
cats (that now live with my relatives). I finally found exactly what I was
looking for- a pawprint! It's just a plain black pawprint, about an inch
in diameter, on the back of my left ankle. I got it about a year an a half
ago and I absolutely love it! It's simple and shows my love of all my
animals (well okay- it doesn't really resemble my birds' footprints, but
it's the thought that counts), and when people do notice it and ask me
about it I usually end up in a discussion about ferrets! I'm CERTAINLY not
trying to discourage anyone from getting a ferret tattoo ( I especially
love the idea of a celtic ferret chain of some sort around the ankle and
would love to see that design if it does get created), but just thought I'd
offer up another option to people who might not have thought of it yet.
Happy tattooing!

On another note, Sandee- could you keep an eye out for my Zima? He was
just diagnosed with cardiomyopathy in January when he became sick very
suddenly, and despite aggressive treatment with increasing doses of Lasix,
etc, he just went downhill very quickly and we lost him late last week. He
wasn't very old (not sure, since he was a rescue, but probably about 3 1/2)
and until January he was the bounciest, happiest, most fun-loving guy in my
whole crew, and the biggest kisser as well. I miss him terribly, but I
know he's happy and playing again with all his new buddies over the bridge,
instead of sleeping and struggling to breathe all the time. Point him in
the direction of the Ferretone!

Jamie and the Furr-crew (Tiny, Fidget, Gus, Einstein, Hopper, Booboo,
Butterbean, and Hermie, as well as dogs Seamus and Mitchell, and cockatiels
Chickenbird and Babybird- all missing Zima (well, maybe not the birds))
