>Hi all,
>I need to ask everyone me with a problem we are currently having and
>to dig deep and help pay the fine imposed on the ag station volunteer.
>She was given two years probation and fined $430 for attempting to enter
>California with 2 ferrets that she had just rescued. Granted, she is to

>their ferrets are paying the price by being confiscated, put in jail, and
>then shipped out to a ferret shelter where they'd be lucky to get a home.
>Yes, it happens, and more often than I care to talk about. I've spent the
>last few days trying to get one ferret safely transported to Las Vegas.
>Now it's two ferrets.

>Hardly a day goes by that I'm not working on a rescue situation. Many

>up and transport ferrets the same day. No overnight holds allowed. F&G
>is willing to work with us, up to now we've been required to hire a
>courier, which has been paid by CDFA or myself. ALL FERRETS MUST GO AND
>STAY OUT OF CALIF. No exceptions! Please email if you can help. You
>will be required to meet with Region 6 F&G Chief McBride in Chino Hills.
>He wants to meet all volunteers and have them promoise to uphold his

>Back to donations, I need to raise $430 to cover the volunteer's fine.
>I also have a $165 bill from a local animal control agency who charges
>us to rescue ferrets (I'm not kidding - blackmail at it's finest).
