Yes, the cricket was probably the problem. Miss Jezebel a little female of
mine, would eat anything. One day I noticed her vomiting and pawing at her
mouth and rushed her to the vet. She was pooping, but it was very thin and
not a lot. My vet advised large doses of cat lax and a wait and see attitude.
She was still eating some and playing, but not at normal levels.
 
Lo and behold, the next day I saw her pooping and went to check it out. What
had come out was an intact cricket, minus one hind leg. After that she was
just fine.
