hi...i have a question ....

I am giving PopPye, my 'sterling silver'...(mostly white with a few dark
grey/black hairs scattered about)...anyway...i am giving him a liquid
medicine by syringe...and he HATES it!!!...tried putting it in heaving
whipping cream...(which he loves)...but he still hated it...

it is taking both my husband and i to give this to him...(twice a day)...me
scruffing his neck and tom holding front and back legs...(or else he kicks
the syringe out of my hands!)...and me trying to get this in his mouth...it
takes a while...but we accomplish it...

FINALLY...here is my question....

since we started doing this...maybe a week ago...i have noticed that the
fur under where i am scruffing him is turning black....down both sides of
his neck...with a white stripe where i am not holding him...is this
coincidence...or am i doing this to him????...if it IS me...will it hurt
him???? he has to have this med...and it cost $70.00, so 'throwing it out
and trying something he 'might like' is not an option at this point...

thanks for any input...i only have one more week of this medicine...but i
don't want to be doing him any harm at the same time...

thanks...
