I've got interesting news about treating unregistered ferrets in CA.
 
Vets are not allowed to HOSPITALIZE them, they must report the
animal to Fish & Game. Vets *are* allowed to treat them as out-
patients. Many vets and people were confused and did not know
this. If people have further questions, I will try and find out
where this info is from, but I got it from a nice vet in
Kensington, who had an article published in the paper about it.
