The holidays are upon us, the hustling and bustling has started and yet
in my mail box all last week I have gotten Thanks Giving cards almost
on a daily basis thanking me for what I do for the fur kids.

Each card I open tears at my heart strings, causing a tear or two. Each
card/letter reminds me that there are folks out there that are grateful
for what I do.

This Shelter, these kids are my love, my life and my passion. I can
think of nothing I would rather be doing in my life. I wake each
morning thankful for one more day to love on the kids that are here,
say a prayer for the ones that are out there that need to be saved,
and thank God I have another day to do what I love to do.

HOWEVER I could not do what I do without all the people that care about
me and the fur kids, without the occasional email reminding me that we
are on the minds of others, without the cards that come in with a
special book mark, or trinket telling me how much I am appreciated. I
do not do this alone, each and every one of you keeps the shelter moms
and dads going, you all inspire us to do it better, longer and do more
for more kids.

So in the end YOU are the hero's, you are the ones that help make us
who we are.

Thank you! Have a wonderful holiday season no matter how you choose to
celebrate.
