Tonight I was going to get a bunch of work done, but the phone rang. It
was the emergency animal hospital and they had an owner bring in a tiny
girl ferret that was drove in, waited a lot of time, got her, waited
more time while I fed her a little chicken gravy I took along. She was
barely breathing, mild seizures or hiccups, and when I got her home
and took her temp it was only 92.1. I gave 30 ml of Normasol. I tried
to warm her up in warm water. Of course that helped a little but the
damage had been done. She just kept getting worse and eventually closed
her eyes and said goodbye. It looks like she was literally starved to
death. No food = no calories.

Bridge greeters, please be on the lookout for a pretty little light
sable girl named Pixie.. Make sure she finds the food bowls that are
always full with good ferret foods I think she was alone but maybe she
would like to find some friends to play with.
