NOTE: photos in digital form may be e-mailed to [log in to unmask] but
the entry fee will have to follow in the mail.  If you use a MAC, save in
format that is readable by a PC.
 
Photos will be judged by the officers of the South Florida Ferret Club and
Rescue on December 22, 1998 and winners will be notified the following week.
 
Officers of SFFC&R and their families are not eligible.

Some notes on the prizes since many are probably not familiar with them.
 
The Condo Cage is a two-level cage made by Safeguard and designed years ago
by our shelter operator.  I have two of these and they're great.  I don't
recall the exact price (they have probably gone up since then anyway) but
they're worth over $100.
 
The Custom Commode(tm) is designed and made exclusively for "For Ferrets
Only." It's a clear acrylic litter box that is custom made to fit perfectly
in the Condo Cage.  It has a high back (4" or so) and a low front of 1".
It's a perfect fit and is extremely difficult, if not impossible, for a
ferret to get behind it and push it around.  I have not seen one do so yet,
but we all know how determined these guys can be so no guarantees on that
aspect of it!
 
The "handcrafted Ferretsie" on the photo album is a ceramic like ferret or
ferret head that comes in sable, albino and various other color patterns.
 
As for the photos in Modern Ferret: As you know, they have a long lead time
for each issue, so they will most likely appear in Issue #22, which will be
the May/June issue.  They will appear along with an article on fund raising
for shelters.
