In this morning's (6/18) FML, Debbie asked whether ferrets were legal in
Massachusetts.

Thanks to the efforts of a lot of caring and persistent people, ferrets have
been legal to own in Massachusetts since March 7, 1996. We also have a
10-day rabies quarantine in place for ferrets involved in biting incidents
(as opposed to automatic kill-and-test).

For more information about ferrets in Massachusetts, please visit the
Massachusetts Ferret Friends' website:

or email <[log in to unmask]> or call the main MaFF number: (781) 224-1098.

Debbie, thank you for taking in that ferret, and thanks to all of you who
have ever rescued or adopted a older ferret.
