Hi X,
Pediapred works in 3 ways to increase blood glucose levels.
1) it promotes gluconeogenesis (makes glucose)
2) inhibits utilization of glucose (keeps it in the bloodstream) and
3) has some antiinsulin activity.
 
Proglycem works by inhibiting insulin secretion.
