My ferrets also have dry skin, though when I brought socks home she did
come with a few UNWELCOME guests, I quickly took care of that. But both
her and Chandler still scratch. So I am assuming they both have dry
skin, aside from the one flea bath that they both have had, they dont get
bathed except for a couple of laps around the tub in plain water. I
believe I have seen products meant for dogs..possibly cats, with Tea tree
oil in it..are there any products meant for ferrets with the same stuff.
It is my understanding that animal ph and humans are diffferent, this is
why we dont use human shampoo on animals. Tracilyn mentioned Paul mitchels
product, but are there not other chemicals in the shampoo that could
possibly be detrimental? or in the long term have some drying affect?
Wouldn't an aloe/oatmeal based shampoo be more effective? Obviously it
works for Tracilyns ferrets, I would be willing to try it, but would like
the opinion of some fmlers.

Thanks
June
