sHARI,
So nice of you to make the post on FML regarding the link between adrenal
disease and lymphosarcoma! It has been the general rule here at the shelter
to find that THOSE FERRETS WHO HAVE HAD ADRENAL SURGERIES, LATER DIED OF
LYMNPHOSARCOMA, AND yes THEY ARE all MF ferrets! Pathology was sent out on
another this week! I would also agree with your vet, and keep in mind
besides the genetic pool, these animals with the early alter do not have the
opportunity to develop a sound immune response system.

In MY opinon these are all VITAL KEYS to the way these ferret seeme
pre-disposed to the cancers. Remember Gary Holowicki brought up the point
of cancer being an inability of the immune system to heal??!! Now compound
that with the gene pool theory and you have a nuclear explosion of sorts!

Just my thoughts... good luck with your kid.

Fondly in ferrets,
Alicia
