MF Seasonal Changes

I have five ferrets, all of them are MF.  Three of those have thick,
luxurious, winter coats.  The two that don't are 3 and 3 1/2 months old,
so maybe they are too young yet.
 
Spaz really got even more beautiful with her winter coat.  Rascal and
Treble kept their coloring.
 
Does anyone know at what age a ferret has to be to get a winter coat?
