This is for the anonymous poster in New York or NYC.
 
Ferrets are legal in New York state, with the exception of the Five
Boroughs of NYC.
 
I live in the Poughkeepsie area of New York, and I go to Dr. Les Sherr, at
the Hopewell Animal Hospital.  They're located in Hopewell Junction, Rt 52
and the Taconic.  The number there is (914) 221-PETS.
