I agree with Trish on the subject of recliners.  I've heard too many horror
stories to ever want to risk combining them with ferrets.  Plus I've found
my own ferrets over and over again in places where I never expected to find
them.
 
Would it be possible to strike a deal with your SO to give up the recliner
if you buy him a brand new, plush chair of his choosing that is not a
recliner?
