Here is how I weigh my kids.  I have a digital food scale.  I can put
a small basket with blankie on it and *zero* it, which means that the
basket will not be added to the ferrets weight.  Pick up SLEEPING ferret,
place in basket.  By the time he/she wakes up, you have a reading of
their weight.  Slick, huh??  Mine reads in grams or pounds, I see them
in kitchen/cooking ware isles everywhere.  I'm sure a Google search will
turn up several sources.
