Haven't even seen nor heard of these problems in ferrets, or other
mustelids.  Both of these conditions are parasites of the cells of the blood
in dogs, cats, ad several other species.  Ehrlichia parasitizes white blood
cells and platelets, and Hemobartonella parasitizes red blood cells.  But
not in ferrets.
