Miss SaraFerret, I am so sorry for your Mommy's heartache.  But, 9 years
is a long time for a ferret to stay on earth.  I am sure he was loved and
will be happy on the beach until joined by others who prefer the sun to
the snow.
 
It does sound as if your mommy has her hands full.  I know that will keep
her busy, though.  Keep an eye out and don't be a stranger!
