Going over the FML yesterday, there are some I just HAD to answer:

Ko-Ko...
I wish to disagree with your version of ferret math. In my experience, with
ferrets, 1 + 1 does not equal 2. 1 + 1 normally equals 3! I know you only
mean to get one friend, but who can resist that other fuzzy little face?

Christy (Anon)...
I've found with my animals (not only ferrets), that the best cure for their
'lack of affection' is to give them as much loving as often as you can,
whenever possible. Sometimes it can take a long time, but with ferrets,
especially younger ones, I've found they normally settle in reasonably
quickly. I've had biters, coming from bad homes that never handled their
fuzzies, or fed them properly, that have become so gentle they almost seem
like a different animal. It only takes a little time and consistency. We
all look forward to hearing how well you do with your two energetic whizzes.

Buffy...
When you have a look at the shelter, have a look for your missing fuzzy,
there's a chance that someone took in a 'stray ferret'... Good luck finding
your little girl, and in finding a friend for your lonely one in the
mean-time.

Just a quick progress report on Guy:
My boy has lost all his guard hairs now, except on his head and along his
spine. I've been reassured by many people (including the vet) that it's
stress-related and will grow back later. For now, Guy is my punk ferret.
Otherwise, he's doing well. Gaining weight slowly, and spending more time
awake and roaming around the house. The little blighter tripped my up this
afternoon, I swear he did it deliberately! He runs after me for his first
'duck soup' of the day (his favourite), and has started ttaking more
interest in his surroundings once more. I took him out with me the other
night, and he wasn't happy at having to stay in his sleeping bag! As Winter
approaches, he's feeling the cold, so he's decided the best place for him to
sleep isn't the cat basket with the pillow and woolen hat, it isn't his
sleeping bag with all the clothing piled within... It IS my extra cosy warm
sleeping bag, which will probably never recover for normal use again!
However, to get my baby well again, I'll even sacrifice my favourite
sleeping bag. I don't go camping very often, anyway (not after he's been
there, anyway!) Guy got nervous the other day (vet visit), and the bag may
never smell sweet again...Such is life. Guy's course of prednisone is
almost complete, and I'll be talking to the vet about the possibility of
keeping him off it for a while, as he may not need it. So, all is going
well.

Thanks for all your support up until now.
