Somebody asked about any experiences with giving ferrets the Heartgard 30
plus chewable tablets. I tried the chewable tablets with the ferts last
year, and each and every one of them not only did not eat it, but they also
all stared at me as though they thought that I was slighty tilted off my
rocker for trying to get them to eat THAT! Even our little moocher, Simba,
who will wake up from three rooms away in a dead sleep at the opening of the
refridgerator door, would not touch it. I had to give the tablets to a
dog-owning friend and get the pill form. I crush the pill into a powder and
mix it with a smidgen of ferretvite/linatone/mintone (whatever the fert
likes). Problem solved. (For me, anyhow! :) )

Good luck in getting your carpetshark to eat the tablet, but based on my
experience with it he won't bite (Literally!)
