We wish that the other two judges had the intelligence and compassion of
Judge Richard Allen Griffin, and even though he could not save Kodo he DID
try so we would like to send him a thank you letter for his compassion, his
logic, and his being able to understand scientific testimony. He is the
kind of judge this country needs at ALL levels of the judicial
system!!!!!!!!! If anyone knows where to send him a thank you letter PLEASE
post the address and then PLEASE FML members -- send him thank yous!!!! His
effort should be thanked in ways which make people sit up and notice! A few
thousand "Thank You; you are wonderful!" notes would sure help! (If
possible have a ferret PR person stay in touch with J. Griffin IF he's
willing to have the press photograph him surrounded by thank you messages!
Then the person could contact the press at the right time. That would make
any legislators who might be anti-ferret and the governor's office sit up
and take notice when the law for quarantine is being advanced, so it might
save ferrets and do it in a way which feels good to the public! Try to get
kids to send cards with their sketches, too!)

What do you think? Is this a good idea to save other ferrets in Michigan,
and maybe even make YOUR state notice? What do you say, MIchiganers?

If Michigan is a state in which some judges are voted upon by the public it
would also make sense for the names of the other two to be made known to MI
voters with ferrets.

Love to all who do their best for ferrets, whatever that best may be,

Sukie
