Dear Ferret Lovers,

The meanest thing that anyone is guilty of is mistreating animals that
crime becomes even crueler when that harm is done on purpose.

Recently I took a long vacation in West Virginia and I had a wonderful
time with my Fuzzies, there was just one thing that I say that has in
some ways ruined my are good time! While we where there my Aunt took
us to PERRY WILDLIFE ZOO in Perry, West Virginia and while I was there
I say a sad sight...Two of are fuzzy friends where stuck in a small wood
and wire cage. They had only a T-shirt for cover and a set of food dishes
for toys and there small home is situated outside in almost 100 degree
temperatures.

It was horrible and that cage was a horrible sight it was only about 2'
by 2', and it housed 2 Fuzzies. I was deeply disturbed by all this! This
man's disrespect for the smaller of natures animals is unforgivable and
as if his offences against Ferrets was not bad enough, while I was there
I voiced my love of ferrets and he proudly showed me his Mink Ferret to
impress me, (He was as black as night and had a ferrety face but with a
blunter nose). After I examined him I told him that I have never heard of
a mink ferret and asked him where he had got it...He replied that he got
it from a private dealer and then asked me if he could tell me a secret,
(I am a very trustful person and I do not make a habit of braking trust
but this situation is against the norm ), I told him yes and he told me
something horrible. There is no such thing as a Mink Ferret!!!! He only
has that posted because Minks are illegal and when the police came to see
it that is what he told them and they bought this! Mind you he is very
proud of this fact.

This is horrible and can not be allowed to continue !!!!!!

I am now back in New Jersey and have no idea what I can do to help my
fuzzy friends. It is my greatest hope that one of my fellow ferret lovers
resides in West Virginia, or has some knowledge as to what can legally be
done, so that these fuzzies will not further suffer. Please help me so
that together we can help them, because with summer coming I am afraid
they might get hurt or die.
